Sierra Leone’s Ambassador-designate to Belgium, Philip Bob Jusu, hosted Emily Wigens, EU Director of the ONE Campaign, and Christian Wijnroks, Campaign Coordinator at the One campaign, at the Embassy on Wednesday, 28 May.
The ONE Campaign focuses on creating economic opportunities and improving health in Africa.
Wigens discussed their initiatives on sustainable financing and changing perceptions around health investment.
Ambassador Jusu expressed his interest in collaborating with the One Campaign to strengthen their presence in West Africa, especially in Sierra Leone, noting “the goal is to establish a partnership involving the ONE Campaign, the Embassy, and the Sierra Leonean government”.
They agreed to collaborate on relevant initiatives ahead of the upcoming AU-EU summit later this year.
