Ambassador Jusu Begins Tenure with Courtesy Call to Djibouti

Ambassador-designate, Philip Bob Jusu, commenced his official visits this week by paying a courtesy call to Aden Mohamed Dileita, the Ambassador of Djibouti in Brussels.

During their meeting, Ambassador Jusu underscored the importance of such diplomatic engagements among African nations. He highlighted their role in advancing cooperation and amplifying Africa’s voice on the global stage. Ambassador Jusu affirmed Sierra Leone’s support for Djibouti, acknowledging its strategic position as the current chair of the African Union Commission, and expressed a keen interest in collaborating on various issues. The ambassadors also addressed irregular migration, a shared concern across the continent, while recognising the meaningful contributions of diaspora communities to nation-building.

Ambassador Dileita presented a welcome gift to Ambassador Jusu, who was accompanied by members of his delegation, as a gesture of goodwill.
