Ambassador Jusu touched base again with Brussels-based members of the African Union Diaspora Youth Initiative (AU-DYI) on Thursday. The AU-DYI, an initiative Ambassador Jusu launched in 2018, was conceived to offer young Africans residing in Europe a structured avenue for interaction with the African Union Mission in Brussels. Its remit also included enabling them to collectively advance the AU’s objectives across Europe and encouraging the Diaspora’s contribution to their homelands’ development. The purpose of yesterday’s gathering was to powerfully illustrate the benefit of such connections and to lay the groundwork for ongoing, regular interactions.
