Ambassador Philip Bob Jusu, the newly appointed Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the Kingdom of Belgium, with accreditations to Luxembourg, Netherlands, Greece, the Vatican, and the Mission of the European Union, arrived in Brussels May 14, 2025, to commence his assignment.
Ambassador Jusu succeeds Ambassador Tamba Musa, who completed his tenure in November 2024.
Welcoming the Ambassador at the Brussels Zaventem airport, Deputy Ambassador Asmaa James said she was delighted to receive His Excellency Ambassador Bob Jusu in Brussels.
She noted Ambassador Jusu’s familiarity with Belgium from his previous work with the African Union. “You are welcome to the Sierra Leone Embassy family in Brussels,” she added, expressing confidence in their future collaboration.
In response, Ambassador Philip Bob Jusu expressed his gratitude for the cordial reception, remarking, “This warm welcome is truly beyond my expectations. I thank you all. I look forward to maintaining this familial spirit and working collaboratively to elevate Sierra Leone’s presence within the EU and countries of accreditation.
Ambassador Jusu’s distinguished career encompasses significant experience in multilateral, economic, and technology diplomacy, cultivated through his previous roles at the United Nations, the African Union, and Google, including six as Principal Advisor to the Permanent Representative and the Group of African Ambassadors at the AU Mission to the EU in Brussels, offering strategic guidance on socio-economic affairs.
